Ingredients
1 kg Yam, 2 teaspoons Chilli powder, 2 teaspoons Turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon Asafoetida powder, 4 cups Water, Oil (for frying), Salt (as per taste).
Preparation
• Peel and chop the yam into very thin slices. Dissolve the turmeric powder in 4 Cups water and add the chopped yam into it. Keep aside for 30 minutes. Drain, pat dry and spread on a dry muslin cloth.
• Heat oil and fry the chips till they are crisp.
• Sprinkle salt, red chilli powder and asafoetida powder on the chips and mix well.
• Store in air tight container.
